Scholarship Award Program
The Kingston Chamber Music Festival has established a $1,000 Scholarship Award program in the Music Department at the University of Rhode Island. The scholarship shall be awarded to an outstanding music major
at the end of their sophomore year. The award selection will be made by the Music Department Faculty based on recognized excellence in instrumental performance and music scholarship. Preference will be given to Rhode Island residents. Public announcement of the award winner will be made to the media by the Music Department and University, and will be acknowledged by the KCMF during its summer festival.

ALLISON PARRAMORE
Allison Parramore
is currently working on a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance
(flute) at the University of Rhode Island. She is an active member
of the URI Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Flute Ensemble and
Woodwind Quintet on both flute and piccolo.
Allison
started her music career at eight years old in the elementary school
beginner band. She continued through the elementary and junior high
schools, and entered the King Philip Regional High School music program
under the direction of Peter Tileston (Wrentham, MA). She traveled
with the symphonic and marching bands while performing in prestigious
places such as the National Concert Band Festival in Indianapolis,
Giants Stadium, Raven Stadium, Mechanics Hall, and Boston’s Symphony
Hall. Allison also performed a wide variety of repertoire in
two senior recitals in high school. In addition, Allison studied
privately with Jacqueline Goudey of Foxboro, MA, until she entered
the University of Rhode Island where she is currently studying with
Susan Thomas, the principal flutist of the Rhode Island Philharmonic. Allison
spends her summers playing at the South Shore Music Festival under
the direction of Frederick Harris. For the current summer, Allison
was accepted into New York University’s Woodwind Quintet program,
as well as Oberlin’s Flute Institute.
